Matthias Kusch Music
The musical home for original tracks, the father-son project Canyon Heroes, and the realisation of a lifelong dream.
From Party Rock Classic to Original Hit
Whether at lively city festivals, exclusive galas or emotional weddings: for over 25 years, Josef Spitzl performed as singer and guitarist with a well-known booking band, providing the perfect soundtrack for unforgettable celebrations. He played other people’s hits — but in his heart, the desire for his own songs never faded.
Exactly 12 years after the first recordings in his home studio, this passionate musician is now making that dream a reality. The hectic live stage is behind him. His musical home today is the studio, where he works purely as a creative songwriter and producer.
Here, his decades of live experience merge with fresh ideas — and as a true family project. Together with his two sons, he breathes modern life into the productions and shapes the foundations of the past into mature, captivating hits.

Matthias Kusch
As a music producer, I release tracks under my own name that blend various genres. The music is diverse, emotional and driving.

Lebensgfui (Bavarian for: joy of life)
Bavarian Reggae — when the Alps meet the Jamaican beach.
My first album unites two worlds that at first glance seem incompatible — and for exactly that reason, they harmonise perfectly. Bavarian joie de vivre, dialect and cosiness meet relaxed reggae grooves, riddim and lightness. The result: music that lifts your spirits and touches the heart.
Lebensgfui — that is joy of life in Bavarian. And that is exactly what lives in every track.
Canyon Heroes
Under the name Canyon Heroes, my father Josef Spitzl and I produce music together. It is the perfect symbiosis of his decades of live experience and my modern production approach.
Looking for musical partners for the stage
Since Josef Spitzl no longer performs live himself, his songs are meant to be brought to the stage by other voices and faces. The studio trio is therefore looking to connect with ambitious artists and bands.
Anyone interested in presenting these brand-new songs live, or in collaborating creatively with the experienced production team in the future, is welcome to get in touch.
Music is the language that begins where words end. It connects generations and makes dreams audible.
